Dynamic Martial Arts staff are fully committed to our students. As a business, we require all staff to be CPR certified, at least a first-degree black belt, and passionate about instructing. Our Certified Instructors are supplied with continuing education throughout the year and weekly training sessions. Currently holding a 6th dan in TaeKwonDo, Master Yu is the President and Head Instructor of Dynamic Martial Arts. He was born in Seoul, South Korea and has over 30 years of experience in Martial Arts. He continues to share his heritage and passion for training with his students.
Mr. Yu was Born in Seoul, Korea, Graduate of ECU with a Degree in Exercise Physiology, former Personal Trainer, 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, Yoga Practitioner, Breath and Meditation Guru, avid surfer, and passions for personal growth as well as helping others connect with their true and best self.

Lucas is a 3rd Degree Black Belt with Dynamic Martial Arts. He assists with youth classes Monday through Friday. Lucas is most known for his use of creative techniques to engage his students. Lucas has been training with Master Yu the longest of all enrolled students. In his spare time, he enjoys flipping, more flipping and parkour.
Jason is a 3rd Degree Black Belt with Dynamic Martial Arts. He assists with the youth classes Monday through Friday. Jason is most known for his ability to communicate with students and encourage them. Jason is a leader at the academy, in the community, and even at home where his younger sister is also a black belt. Jason enjoys dirt biking, cars, and his favorite weapon is the Bo.
Lana is a 2nd Degree Black Belt at Dynamic Martial Arts. She is most known for her direct coaching style and quality techniques. Lana has been training since 2010, and enjoys competing at tournaments. You can find her volunteering for the Little Dumplin's class, youth beginner classes, and she also contributes choreography for the Port City Dragons. Ms. Lana's ambition is to one day become a pediatrician.
Mrs. McFarlin is a 2nd Degree Black Belt with Dynamic Martial Arts. She is most known for her unique suggestions on how to remember the DMA curriculum. Jennifer can be found volunteering during the Morning Adult Classes on Tuesday and Thursday. She is a nurse, wife to a pilot, mom to 2 teenage daughters, and one out of 3 black belts in her family.
Dynamic Martial Arts has a Junior Instructor team made up of Black Belts who wish to share their love of training with others. These students are eager to train, motivated to grow, and are outstanding role models. Jr. Instructors can be found volunteering occasionally during youth classes Monday through Friday.
